Mr Greed

Today I want to share a Chinese proverb that dedicated the HYIP.

Fish see Baits, but not the Hook. Men see the Profits but not the Risk.

Everyone loves profits, that's an undeniable fact. But the majority ignore the risk involved until they get hit by a huge lose. We need to control our greed and should evaluate whether the risk involve is worth taking before making any decision.
Almost all newbie including me when I was new to the financial world will get really excited and trying to jump aboard the bandwagon as soon as possible. This is caused by the hole in our heart, a hole that never going to be filled by anything. After the honeymoon is over, we will start to realize the cruelty of the financial market and majority will leave and telling themselves that only dumb people will involve in financial market and it's just another form of casino to lose your shirt! No one will win except the house!
This is what happen to the people around me. But some of them will still stand out and continue to learn and try and learn and try. In HYIPs, investors will have their own method to evaluate each program. But the problem lies on not all investors will sticks to their method they use to evaluate program.
Such as, when you evaluate a program with your own method and found that the program doesn't looks good at all and you tell yourself you are not going to invest in this HYIP. But after you went to goldpoll, MMG, Hyipexplorer and others forums and monitors, you found that there're lots of people posting about they are being paid, Mr. greed start to approach you and... you decided to invest in that HYIP!! You have forgot all the risk involve in this HYIP as you are focusing solely on profits.
Some people love to join the crowd, because they feel comfortable. But sometimes, joining the crowd will make you lose your the direction you are heading. I'm not saying that following the crowd is the dumbest thing to do in the world, but follow the crowd blindly will lead you to catastrophic.
Mr greed is looking over your shoulder always whispering and sometimes shouting. When you start to listening to that then you looking and find evidence to support 'Mr Greed' and there it goes.

We need to invest time in the learning curve and not just gamble with our hard earn money. In any market we trade or invest, there is luck involve. But those who make serious money from poker and other financial market typically share the same traits. They only bet when the odds are stack in their favor and will not make decision emotionally. Those who depends solely on luck will not stay long.
